I've been so pleased that the Turkish translations of my Reign of the Favored Women series, including Sofia, The Sultan's Daughter, and Reign of the Favored Women, have become so popular. I've sold more copies in Turkish than in English of these books, and they were on the bestseller list there for over a year. What an honor for the writer, to be so well accepted by the people whose history she writes about and that they know so well. My Turkish publisher Inkilâp generously invited me to come to Istanbul and meet my readers, so of course I jumped at the chance.
